New guy here (just wanted tf2 hat but quickly became addicted) Is the bonus attributes worth paying more for? I bought a sword with "bonus vs. beast very high" for about double the regular version of it costs. Did I make a mistake?

Well, it depends on what kind of stratums (Floors) there are.
If there is a ton(like 3/4 in a row of beast themed stratums in a dungeon, then it's money well spent.
If not, then you may have wasted your money.

UVs are always good to have, they're never a bad thing. A very high UV of anything is great, so I think you did well!
Not to mention that you can keep that UV as you craft the sword into something better. Consider it an investment.

Can a weapon that already has a UV get another one from crafting it into a higher tier?

I Crafted a Super Slime Slasher with UV Bonus Dmg on Slimes. Crafted it because we were heading to a slime strata.
First craft ever!
(We ran into a Slime Danger Room, went awfully xD)

You have two choices:
Keep the existing UV and nothing will change, no chance for a new one.
Or...
Do not keep the existing UV and roll the dice for another one, though you very well may end up with nothing.
