My beloved Ikari Laser died on me yesterday, 2 weeks after the warranty period
So, since I won't be playing forever with my notebook mouse, I need a new one.
Notes:
- I am a low sens player, and my Ikari couldn't keep it at all times. My MX518 didn't have any issues. My mousemat is 550 x 450 x 2 mm and I use all of it.
- No need for extra buttons, except a clickable mousewheel and one side button for VoIP.
- Low lift-off distance is a must
- No angle snapping. My MX518 had this and it was bloody annoying. I could turn it off in the Ikari settings panel.
Bonuses:
- A plain looking mouse is a plus. Mice filled with lights are grotesque IMO.
- Good software is a plus. My Ikari only featured macro binding and CPI switch.
Any suggestions?
e: My budget is around 50€.

I use a G9 and have had no issue with it. I would recommend it :)

The G9 starts at 69€ over here in Finland and that's a tad too pricey for me I am afraid :(

I just read about this.
Yeah, but I didn't really like the angle snapping in MX518, and from what I googled, it's not user configurable in the G400. It is however, in the G500. I thought it sounded a bit strange. I can't really afford to wait until July, I'd rather get this over with straight away.
Updated OP.

When the mouse corrects swipes from side to side into perfectly straight lines. Try it in Paint.
Not so good for games IMO. Some might like it, but I don't.

I like my G500 at 5700dpi. The G400 is 3600dpi. Whatever floats your boat.

Just did. My G5 v1 doesn't have that problem though. Still an awesome mouse after so many years.

Add my vote to the G9x, though it's better to go to a brick and mortar and test/hold the mice to find one you like.

Since your demands are similar to mine I will bump this thread.
EDIT: Zowie EC1 or Zowie EC2 are highly recommended.
EC1 is big, about the size of a Microsoft 3.0
EC2 is small, about the size of a Intelli 1.1

Seems like I am getting a replacement for my Ikari Laser after all.
I've managed to survive sufficiently well with my notebook mouse :)
My mousemat is 550 x 450 x 2 mm and I use all of it.
When you need half a meter of free space to use your mouse I think it's time to up your sensitivity a bit.

PS. I only use that kind of sens in Warsow and Q3A, I play most other games on a more... "sensible" sensitivity.

Coolermaster Storm Spawn (claw grip) is flawless with a firmware upgrade. No prediction/angle snapping and optical sensor with low lift distance.
Mionix Naos 5000 (palm grip) is also flawless with a firmware flash but prefers hard pads due to its lazer sensor.
Both are pricey.
If you are a low sensitivity gamer (10 inch 360 and up) the Microsoft intellimouse 1.1/3.0 with aftermarket teflon mouse feet and 500hz polling rate overclock are still the best and can be found for under 30USD.

I HIGHLY Recommend getting a steelseries Xai. I bought mine when it was new and around 80€ ('bout one or two years ago I think), and it's still alive and working PERFECTLY. It's cheaper now, I saw it in a local store recently for about 40€.
I also play with a really low sens, works perfectly. and it's really comfy!
