Well, it eludes me how to play this game. I can't even seem to find out what my object is in the game, i.e. what it is I'm supposed to be doing and how to do it.
I believe I'm supposed to be collecting asteroids or rocks to make my planet larger, but some asteroids collect automatically, and others just smash into the side of my star.
It's totally eluding me what I'm supposed to be doing in this game. :(

watch this for a simple run down
If you're a star then you need to collect planets by capturing them in your orbit. You can then absorb them into your star (space bar) or use them to collect asteroids to make them bigger (ctrl) and then absorb them.
If you go straight towards the object you are trying to capture it will probably smash into you. You need to move to the side as you get close so the object swings around into your orbit. You can then absorb the objects orbiting you by pressing space.

Two useful hotkeys should be mentioned here:
Q will absorb the smallest object in orbit, whether it's a single asteroid among several planets, or if you;re a star(s) with no asteroids in orbit, the smallest planet orbiting around your star(s). Note that if you have multiple stars, the smallest star will be the one that consumes a planet.
E will absorb all asteroids currently in orbit, so you won't risk accidentally losing a planet. You may also form new stars if your orbiting planets grow large enough.
I also find that matching the target's speed, while moving slightly to the side and behind an object has a reasonable degree of success. The P hotkey toggles object pathing, so you can get an idea of how fast or slow you'll want to be, and adjust accordingly.

I just want to say that if you're not playing this game with an xbox 360 controller, you're missing out (in my opinion). It's just perfect for a game like this.

Ooops, hardcore Kb/M player here. I leave my controller for my 360.

Ill just leave this here. Missions being the top, Sandbox being the lower.

Well at the asteroid stage, I just kept ramming into other large pockets of small asteroids until they started to meld together. I can't remember dying at the asteroid stage, it seems all small asteroids melded into my asteroid.
From a couple videos I wantched on youtube, they seemed to suggest not bothering with missions until you are bigger and then only if you don't mind dying several times (lol)
Yeah I guess some folks find it fun, but after trying the demo over and over and over again, my feet are unfortunately planted firmly on the other side of the fence than those that find this to be enjoyable.
To each their own.

This game isn't for everyone :) If you don't think you'll like it then don't purchase it, nothing worse than buying it and then complaining about it.
Although you could always wait for a sale too, I'll have more updates done by then as well.

Noted! It is likely when it's on another sale and there is more to it, that I'll look at it again.
Thanks,
The best of wishes for your game.
