Hi, on install of this game the Adobe Flash installer would crash on execution, every time.
I realized that this was related to the flash player on my system was newer then the distributed installer bundled with Monster Slayer. XP 32bit SP3 here.- just reinstalled the OS last night, so it was the latest flash.
Solution:
download the adobe flash uninstaller (http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/uninstall_flash_player.exe)
after uninstalling flash,
navigate here :
C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\themonsterslayer\redi st
run the flashplayer installer in this folder.
*when I first did this, the installer gave me an error saying it wasn't the latest version. I set my system clock back to March and rebooted. the Adobe installer then worked without a hitch.
oh and after the install finishes, update your flash player to the latest version, and set your clock back if applicable.
