Wait, zenith remnant is a summer prize?

Am I just seriously misunderstanding this? One of the summer prizes has the zenith remnant expansion?

It says on the main page, the category for the prize is "map", but is this a typo? On the AI War page, it doesn't mention anything about a map, but lays out the features for AIW:ZR.

So, which is it? A map for ZR, or the $5 expansion itself?

It's a good promotion. I've now spent tickets on DLC for all the games I own and am about to try the demo for this because it looks to be the highest value thing I can spend my tickets on lol.

It's the full expansion as the prize, yep -- I think that Valve just didn't have a better category than "map" out of map, gear, etc, to put it in. :)

Fun thing is, it is cheaper to buy the bundle with all DLCs than the game plus all other DLCs and get the Zenith Remnant as a prize. Makes this prize kinda pointless, looks like it is useful only for those who had the base game already.

Please make sure you don't already have it. :) That expansion is part of the AI War Alien Bundle (which includes all AI War content so far). A couple other folks couldn't redeem it because they already had it.

I'm pretty sure this is the point, I certainly can't imagine why not -- it's something that's internal to Valve, though, so I can't say for certain. But I would be utterly shocked if it didn't do that, and I presume they would fix it for you. If you redeemed that expansion you now have that expansion, period, as far as I'm concerned, and I think Valve has the same view. But I don't have much direct insight into how they do this stuff technically.
