Hey,

I know that laptops aren't for games but still I thought that Core I7, 2 GB of RAM, Windows 7, and Intel HD graphic would be sufficient for 2D game (Elitebook 2540p). Too bad that I recieved such crap for work and migration...

Aquarium runs flawesly on same engine (looks the same) and this one is total letdown. I mean it takes about 1,5-2 seconds for the cursor to move. What can I do about it? Turned off vsync, lowest resolution but still it runs terrible.

Oh and how can I switch resolution to 1280/800? I'm guessing that in *.ini file right?

It's all the same to me!
I can't obtain a decent frame rate, the cursor is irritatingly slow (there is too much lag) and I can't aim at the enemies correctly.
I think the problem is that the game has been coded with XNA and C# (not so performing developement tools)

I have the same problem.

This laptop runs L4D2, Sims 3, Crysis (Med some High), Mafia II to mention a few so I'm really really disappointed in not being to change my resolution to lower than 1280x720 or any other graphic settings at all.

Was enthusiastic about playing this but it's not enjoyable at its current state.

Help? Thoughts on this?

Same thing. I've got Pavilion dv2000 laptop and a lot of 3D games run smoothly on it. Can't find even config files to check.

I have a Toshiba Qosmio gaming laptop. Capsized and Aquaria run great. Play a lot of new 3D games good too.

In the OP's case and probably the others, the Intel Integrated Graphics are almost certainly the culprit. Intel video is, to be blunt and to the point, junk. Any salesman that tries to tell you otherwise is lying to you. There are a number of features that are either missing or implemented wrong on Intel chips as opposed to Nvidia or ATI. AAA publishers and developers with huge headcounts can figure out how to work around this to some extent, although performance usually suffers. Indie developers have much more difficulty.

One of the reasons publishers don't publish some console-only titles on PC is because they know Intel Graphics have a substantial market share. If they make a game that performs badly or not at all on them, they'll get tons of complaints over something that isn't their fault at all. It's absolutely disgusting that these get passed off as viable gaming cards.

Ok, /endrant lol.
