I was very happy to see the update, I thought they finally removed the auto-tagging of portal songs. Unfortunately not.

That achievement doesn't seem to work right now, just did it a couple of times, or perhaps need to finish my song.

Welp at least it's easy enough to trigger!

Yeah I just went Easy Pointman on a long song, alternated each block blue and yellow, then hid in the sidelanes till I saw a Red Paint, but no achievement...

This isn't the only Summer Sale achievement that's bugged, though. Spiral Knights has one (to get a Firecracker bomb) that isn't unlocking for me either. On the other hand, I just got Summer of '69 from Poker Night, which only just updated and isn't part of the competition yet.

Just tried it too, does not work yet.
As long as it is not live as a ticket it might just be not achieveable yet by design.

I tried it with Vegas and its randomly generated power-ups. Didn’t unlock either. :(

It works now another update with the same file size fixed it.

Yup, just got it.
Really easy with beginner pointman on a slow track. just fill up all 21 slots with junk NOT matching 3s and then ride at the side till you find red paint.

There you go, I did it with Pointman and took The Decline as a song of choice, you are definitely sure to come across everything needed in such a lengthy song. The video is uploading so it's not viewable at the moment, but it should be done in approximately 10 minutes I guess.

What do you mean Unfortunately? I love that playmode. In fact, I've gone and tagged the entire Portal 2 soundtrack (as is available so far) to match.

Ah, I see, you can have red tiles as part of the stack of tiles. That made it much easier.

I was under the impression that these achievements were supposedly only available after they've been anounced on the store page...

For most achievements, the updates, that enable them, are released with the announcements of the dailies/tickets. But I guess, VALVe want to distribute the server load a bit.

I like portal mode too. But not always as I'm a pusher player mostly. I can tag any song myself, I want to have a choice.
