I have a decent video card. Radeon HD 4650 which play the game very well in max res. I have the cockpit set to 1020 sncy every frame, yet the cockpit is still a little fuzzy. It is not clear as it should be.

My question is, is this the norm for this or should it be crystal clear. I am looking at the cockpit in normal flight mode and arcade mode.

Does the clarity come when zooming in on a particular panel?

Just thought the main view should be clearer.

Thank you

No, the option you are talking about is for setting the resolution of cockpit displays. This basically means the resolution that the MFCD's are displayed at. If you want the cockpit to be less fuzzy, you will have to bring the global texture setting up to the "High" setting.

However, ED does have plans to separate the cockpit and global texture settings in the next patch. That should insure good frames while also maintaining a crystal clear cockpit environment.

quality settings for your video card has a big effect on the "fuzziness" of the cockpit in Black Shark. I'm referring to the video card driver's quality settings, not the display settings in game.

I have an Nvidia card and I don't remember exactly where these settings are for ATI, but pretty sure they're somewhere in the catalyst control center software. Look for a performance / quality slider, I think mipmapping may be the most important one in this case. These settings have minimal effects on some games, but they seem to have a really noticable effect on Black Shark and especially in the cockpit.
