Do this game work on windows 7?

Topic say it all realy, could also simply ask, a friend told me this is kinda much team hospital with a twist, is it true?

It's actually a spiritual succesor to Dungeon Keeper than Theme Hospital which is closer to the "tycoon" games.

As for working, yeah, I run it on my Win7 system all the time. Of course, that said my Win7 system is the 32-bit version so if your running in Win7 64 you might have some issues.

Win7 64 here, no problems so far. But I didn't play past the first island on that machine yet, still, I'd say that it works.
