Hi all. I'm playing England in a full campaign game with DW expansion. Around the mid-1500's I was surprised to find myself elected as the Emporer of the HRE (surprised because I had no HRE territories and most of them seemed to hate me).

Anyways, when I became the Emporer I didn't get the HRE button that lets me see all the HRE information. Is there a way that a non-member emporer can see that information? I can't see/pass any HRE laws, nor see my authority score, etc.

Also, I noticed shortly after becoming Emporer that I suddenly owned 3 provinces in Germany. Is that some benefit of becoming the HRE Emporer? (Not that I consider it a benefit, since I hardly want to send my army anywhere near France.)

Thanks for your assistance.

You should have the HRE button if you are England.

There is an event that fires when a HRE minor controls a non-core HRE province, they lose stability or they give the province to the emperor.

Its called "A Formal Request" Fixed in the beta patches.

Thanks Pevergreen. I noticed that I keep getting new HRE provinces; that explains it.

But I don't have the HRE button. I never did (I didn't expect to have it at the beginning of the game, since I wasn't a member of the HRE). I even loaded one of my saved games as one of the HRE members and still didn't see the button. I do see the button if I start a new game as one of the HRE members.
