As the title suggests. Where's the PC manual kept for this? Where can we download it from?

I can find manuals for XBOX, PS3 and even the Wii on the 2K site (http://2ksports.com/downloads/new/mlb2k11?category=Manuals) but not for the PC.

Just downloaded it. Plugged in 360 controller (which works just fine on PC)

But can't do anything at all. Haven't even worked out how to swing the bat.

I know it's not rocket science, but we do need a manual for this game. There is no in game tutorial (practice - but not tutorial)

HELP!

The 360 one would be the best bet owing to using the same controller.

Yeah - it is very quirky in the menu's but batting and running seem ok. Have not yet pitched a ball in the game though - it won't let me.

Real poor show having a game with so many controls and multiple control configs for different aspects of the game - and no dedicated manual for it.

But as 2K don't have one either - I guess there just isn't one.

Oh well. The PS3 is back on and my year old copy of MLB10 The Show is getting played. I'm glad this game was cheap - cause I won't be bothering with it again.

This is nuts. I am trying to work out which controller I would need to buy to make this happen. Apparently I should not buy a 360 controller. Perhaps the Logitech f710 or f510 because they look the most like a PS3 controller. But while that sounds logical, so does a keyboard and mouse. Awkward? Absolutely. But there's no shortage of keys to use, so you should be good to go, yet there are some key game elements that are literally not possible on the keyboard.

Can anyone recommend a controller that works with this game?
The game looks fantastic and is supposed to be great. I would only be buying a controller for this game and nothing else.

Actually this thread indicates that the 360 is OK.

Scritty, from poking around a bit it seems I misunderstood your issue. The controller is fine, it's that they don't tell you how to swing. As I read, you move the control stick to swing.

Has anyone found this? I'm still having trouble figuring out how to throw to 2nd base from 1st...

The keys assigned in the game don't actually correspond to where its supposed to go!! It says Keyboard 0 = 1st base but its actually throwing the ball to 3rd base!!! I've tried re-assigning it but it still goes to 3rd... the other 2!! keys assigned to 2nd and 3rd bases actually go home and 1st... could it be due to the fact i'm a catcher who's playing first base?

:confused:

The button to throw to a certain base is in relation to what position you are playing. I think this is stupid tbh, I would much rather it stay the same whatever position you're playing at :/

BTW To those wondering, 360 controller works perfectly fine, and is probably the best way of playing this too.

That's what I thought... when I was in AA as a catcher:

0 = 1st Base
. = 2nd Base
5 = 3rd Base

by that logic, 0 should be 2nd then, . for 3rd and 5 for home... Unfortunately that doesn't work. 0 throws to 3rd, . goes home and 5 throws to 1st... Its like it thinks i'm a 2nd baseman. I haven't been able to get any double plays at all... Maybe because i'm off the bag it can't decide... Might be helpfull if we could get a bleeding manual...

EDIT - I've emailed 2Ksports to see if they have a PDF to download or what...

The manual for the XBox360 is weedy. Nothing in it really except configuration for the platform's controllers. No in-depth, or even a hint, "how-to" do things.

If they actually have a (downloadable) manual for the PC, judging by the XBox manual, I don't think I'd get excited by it.

But please keep us informed on the outcome of your email ;)

Will do - though judging by the fact it took them 3 weeks to assign my last ticket to someone... It may take some time...

I use a Logitech F310 in X-mode, works fine.

How is that related to 2K games not releasing a downloadable manual specifically for the PC? :rolleyes:

HELP!

You push the analogue stick forward to swing bat.

However, there's this known bug, once you plug in your controller, you need to stop using your keyboard and mouse, or otherwise the batting function will not work on the controller.
