It has been a long road, fraught with delays and hardship, and we would like to thank you all for sticking with us through it all. Now that the game is nearing completion, we are proud to announce the final pricing and release schedule for Nuclear Dawn.

Nuclear Dawn's full price is set at 24.99USD, 19.99 Euros or 16.99 GBP, and other relative price points depending on your location and currency of choice. The game will be available for pre-order on July 25, 2011 on Steam exclusively, and later on for other digital distribution outlets and retail.

Early adopters, as well as knowing that they kept us in warm blankets and soup until the release date, will receive a 10% discount on the full price, as well as automatically gaining access to the closed beta starting on August 25, 2011.

Four-packs will also be available for pre-order, and will carry a further substantial discount.

The game's release date is currently set for September 25, 2011, when the pre-order discount will end, and early closed beta adopters will be able to unleash their month's training head start on those who weren't wise enough to pre-order. You have been warned!

Will there be a demo after release?? I cant see myself buying unless there is, only because I have been burnt recently by game that shouldnt have been released.

And other relative price points depending on your location and currency of choice does this mean that because Iam in Australia then your going to double the price like other games have??

Cheers

Wow. Congrats, awesome, I'll be buying it on Jul 25, and other encouraging phrases, but why does the beta have to begin on Aug 25? The weekend after that, school begins for me. Why, oh why??

Unlikely, InterWave staff being mostly european is all to familiar with US <-> European exchange burns thanks to pricing stuff (Though there's plenty in North America too). Basically the price you will probably see will be based on a fair assessment of the current exchange rates and priced as near equivalently to the US/GBP/EUR exchange based price as possible with your AUD.

Simple explanation of the above statement. If 2 AUD value is equal to 1 USD (I don't know actual exchange rates), and if the game were $1 then you'd pay $2 of your local currency. That exchange obviously is a doubling but it's a simple mathematical representation, so I'm sure it'll be fair.

I understand your pain, I understand :(

Still, Great announcement, great price, great date! From now on, gonna spam F5 on the Steam store page until I can pre-order the game. Or maybe on monday.

hnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnghhhh....at least I know I'll be milking that weekend dry!
By the way, have you finalized the price on the four-packs? If you have, I'm assuming it wouldn't hurt to say, since you've said all the prices already. I'd just like to set aside enough money for it.

Hopefully they remember that the Aussie dollar is currently equal (well, technically slightly stronger) with the US. They may have to bow down to local retailers (http://www.kotaku.com.au/2011/05/why-does-the-witcher-2-cost-more-in-australia/) since if i recall correctly, they have a distribution deal down here.

The USD isn't exactly strong lately I know this, but that's why they will probably base it on exchange rates, though you may be right depending on what the distro deal is.

$25? That's it? Well, I probably won't have much time to play it, but I'm sold...

Gotta be honest, didn't know a thing about this game til steam did that little "now available" stunt months ago. I'm so very glad they did because I've kept up with it ever since. I'm psyched for the release and for its price, IW sounds like a pretty honest developer. best of luck!

I will probably buy, but I am still info starved....so I might not be the first beta tester.

I am worried this game with turn into a quake jumping game with poor balance, and hope I am wrong.

Four pack here I come!

As cool as a demo would be, that is what friends are for. Go to their house, play it a bit, and then get brow beat into buying it.
