How do you save a game?

I seem to have to play from the beginning over and over. I tried the obvious F6/F5.
Could someone let me know?:confused:

one of the more annoying things about this game is the way saves are limited: actually you can ONLY save your game at certain checkpoints along the story mode. If I recall correctly, the first story checkpoint is right after you get the radio code from Lansing.
