Problem ep1

To begin, i'm french, so forgive me for my bad english.
On the beginning of the ep 1 "those who have no name" we must sleep, because we are tired, but on my screen, i have only the image of the game, and there is not the sleep button, so how could i do ? I've reinstall the game, steam, and abode, and i have always this problem ... I can't begin the game because, i'm stop on the beginning.

It looks like your interface is hidden. Try hitting the control key on your keyboard to make it re-appear.

Hmm well I know the default key to show/hide the interface is the CTRL key. Have you tried starting a new game to see if the interface shows up?

Do you have a previous save you can try loading? I'm not sure what else to suggest. I don't think you can change the keyboard configuration so it should work.

I can't change the keyboard configuration, and i try to start a new game, and a new save, but it never work ...

It looks like the interface has hidden because the game believes it's in a cutscene.

I'm not sure if there's anything we can do about this ourselves. I would have guessed that starting again would solve the problem... But it seems you've tried this. Are you starting from some kind of save? Maybe this save is interfering? I'm sure sure what to suggest myself.

All my save are on the same place, just before ep0 ending. (checkpoint and my personal saves). Thanx to you for trying to help me, if you have any other idee, tell me :) And i try with all of my saves.

I have the same problem here and I'm french too, excuse my english ^^'

I guess I answer for everybody who's got the issue. I restarted many times with at least four different saves (the save for the end of the prologue, the automatic one, one of mine and an "old" one) , it's always the same, the interface is blocked et we can't save. It seems like, as Amaraen told it, the game thinks we're still in the cutscene of the end of the prologue.
I tried to skip the cutscene, to let it till it ends, I even tried to let the game a moment on this screen but it did nothing ^^' When I arrive, after the cutscene, the character can move, there's no problem but the cursor is the hourglass, not the normal cursor and the interface is gone. Pressing ctrl don't do anything, changing the resolution didn't work for me, ctrl+alt+suppr then cancel neither. I even tried to change the language for this part...
I really don't know what I can say more. I tried to chase away Crow, thought it was a bug with hiring it, but it changed nothing in fact =/
I think I tried plenty of things except restart the whole game ToT

Thank you for helping, I really fell in love with the game and I'll cry if there's no solution xD

Can you send me your savegame (located in My Files) ? We tried to reproduce this bug a lot without success.

If you can also do it again, wait until you're stuck, then go to <Username>\AppData\Roaming\WinterVoices\Local Store\logs and send me the log file - that would help a LOT.

(Sorry, french for Narina, just explaining what I understand : Narina, en fait il demande tes sauvegardes (celles les plus proches du bug je suppose) et, quand tu fais le jeu, dès que t'arrives au moment où t'es bloquée, il faut aller dans ce que Ours Polaire a dit, et lui envoyer le fichier log, voilou. C'est ce que j'ai compris ^^' Enfin je tente de le faire et on verra, c'était juste au cas où)

I'm having the same exact problem. I was completly immersed in the stroyline, and then that happened, and I was like, "Noooooooo!" I love the game, and am very excited to continue it. Please fix this!

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. I beat the prologue and loved it, so I downloaded the first chapter and now I can't play it. I'm really bummed. Hoping for a patch soon!

I downloaded the prologue and finish it. After I downloaded the episode one and now and I can't play it because of the same problem. Hope it will be fix, I was ready to buy all episode of this amazing game.

Thanks to the log files you sent us, we were able to find the bug. It is a bug with the Secret of the Norns DLC. When we patched it, we introduced this bug for people that doesn't have the DLC.

It looks like everyone that doesn't have the DLC have this bug, wich is rather problematic to say the least.

We will correct it as soon as possible. (maybe before the big patch)

If you want to play as soon as possible, juste delete the line
"<action type="execute" param1="checknornsdlc" param2="adderja"/>"
in the ep1/scripts/initgame.act file.

We are very sorry for the inconvenience.

But I still have a thing to ask, I do know where I can find the initgame.act file, could you tell me the entire path please ? I tried to delete the line in the log file but the issue is still there so I guess it's not the right thing to do ^^'
