For anyone out there considering trying to play this game w/ any controller other than an X-Box controller, save yourself the headache.
I was slogging along using a PS3 controller (via MotionInJoy) and the game felt like it was fighting me every step of the way. The controls didn't make sense, the prompts for which buttons to hit didn't make sense, and it took me about a week to feel comfortable w/ the controls at all.
I finally gave in and bought a cheap 3rd part X-Box controller, and it's a different game. The button prompts are correct, it immediately detected it, and to top it all off it gave me a mini-tutorial on how to do everything the first time I played through w/ the new controller.
It seriously feels like a new game. It's sad that they didn't put in the extra effort to make other controllers as easy.
Other than this (albeit significant) issue, I'm loving 2K11
