Here we go, my bunch of tips, that hopefully help a few people. Mainly because "Dwarfs!? guide" on google gets nothing.
1. Play the tutorial. You can put down Dwarfs if you can't be bothered to do it. It only takes 30mins max, and Simons dwarf voice makes everything better. Why shouldn't you do it?
2. When starting, I suggest you get 1 extra warrior from your starting gold. Theres something about that extra layer of security, that seems to save me again and again when starting out.
3. If it says "Lava has been released!" Then it means it. I'm just saying I died to this, as I thought a dwarf just opened up a lava source I already found.
4. I like to have every outpost I build, with 4 level 5 warriors.
This means if you are gonna do lots of cave exploring in an area, you can blast off them dwarfs, kill those goblins, and ring the bell to return. I like level 5 dwarfs as a balance with strength, and attainability. And You get 4 of them, which will slay most stuff.
5. Its really worth the investment to point out ores, if a dwarf is walking right past em. It costs far less then what you will get.
6. Just like the game says several times, you are the overseer, don't bother spending gold on arrows pointing out where they should dig, as you'll waste loads. Let them do their thing, and help out when you need to.
7. Liquids are infinite. If you are mining in the place where Crystals are, and hit water, just remember that that water, if left alone, will travel all the way to town hall and end your game. =[
8. Be careful when using Speed. At first glance, more things done in less time sounds great! That is if you react fast enough to that water that is speeding towards your base. Yeah. It makes things harder to react to. Watch out.
9. And time warp is really useful. If you have to deal with water, and a Shaman cave at the same time, tough. But time warp lets you add a wall, and catapult your men in, without too much strain. :D However, there is a 1min cooldown. Don't be afraid to use it, but don't waste it, or use it for situations you don't need it.
10. And theres that have fun rule too, just bare that one in mind too. :D
Now go post some tips n tricks you found out. :D

Well this is too expensive in high difficultiy scenarios. Therefor I prefer just 4-8 high level warriors, which I can call to the outpost where I need them. After their mission don't forget to call them back, so that they can ordered to another outpost. -ikluana
