Coming August 9. I like this idea. As long as they keep bringing interesting characters I think it's cool. He costs $5, though, which I think is ridiculous.

I don't like token characters. Stick to the Mortal Kombat franchise. Freddy Krueger somewhat fits but he is already part of an established franchise. This is what I disliked about Soul Calibur IV. Seeing Yoda/Darth Vader in the game was just like.. what?
As for the price tag.. doesn't seem to bad. I'd like to see them priced at 2.99. But I won't complain at 4.99. I won't be buying him anyway. Skarlet so far is the only character that has piqued my interest.

It's not the Robert Englund Freddy, therefore it is inferior.

It looked really stupid.

Agreed. The new Nightmare on Elm Street movie was awful, not because it was a bad story (with it being a remake of the original), but because it simply wasn't Robert Englund.

What does it mean that I had a dream that I was Freddy Krueger the night it was announced?

Kind of a lame reason, don't you think? The movie itself was good but because it wasn't Robert Englund it sucked? Can't the movie be good on its own? I don't have anything against the Robert Englund Krueger but I thought the reboot was a good movie.

If Freddy was as interesting in the movies as the game the movies might actually be good. ;)

Well no not really, as it was just a remake of the original. So in comparison, it didn't hold a candle to the original.

The remake wasn't the worst remake ever, but it'll never be the original.

I think it's cool. It's a shame that they didn't get the original but I'm sure that if they could've, they would've. The Haley version was obviously the cheaper alternative.
