Late week was the first time a game title appeared in the Library list that was not purchase but a promo link to download it. This week Dino-D is there. I can understand advertising but take these games off MY Library List, This are should be for purchased and installed games not some damn promo game, advertise them in the store where they belong, if I want them I'll buy them from there.

It's the free weekend. They want to make sure you know it exists. Relax it'll only stay there for the duration of the promo. If you're too OCD, then, well, you're SOL. Just put in under a random category or something.

Hmmm, I don't get the reaction.

A true gamer would be like...........alright a free game.

I hate to tell you this, but it's not really YOUR library. You don't so much own it, as you own a license to access it. Valve is free to add or remove things at will.

god, we had one of these people in the Altitude forum too.

The Steam Library shows you all the games you have a license to download, install and play.

For the duration of the Free Weekends, you have the license to download, install and play the game the Free Weekend applies to. Therefore the game appears in the Steam Library for your account.

This is how free weekends work. This is how Free Weekends have always worked.

Don't like it? Wait a few days.

He's OCD or not.

Anyway a classic OCD IMO. A normal healthy person won't even notice it.

Choose "installed" as view option in the filter and you will never see it :p.

It's not a licence, it's a statement of fact! If YOU paid for said item, IT'S YOUR ITEM! I don't care if it's retail, digital or something like ebay or amazon, the basic rule of foundation remains the same.

that's not how software works, i'm afraid. you never own the software, only the license to use it. it's always been that way, and it's not likely to ever change.
