Ok I really liked the game but there are some issues. The game itself felt... Amaetuerish in a lot of regards. Not saying that is bad but just some suggestions for the next project. All of these are design issues focusing on singleplayer and not technical since that is just coding problems or conflicting stuff. SPOILERS!

1)If you are going to put in no saves don't force us to platform. The ending part of the master path where you have to jump that ledge to get into the cave where you confront the Commander caused me to die twice. I went from having no wounds to having 4.

2)Hire a translator. I understand localization is expensive but there are some glaring issues with this. Supra.. Come on guys. Not much else to say because it was probably a budget issue.

3) Try to form a tighter narrative or flesh out the world more. At the ending I had absolutely no idea what was going on. The universe is awesome but you need to give the player stuff to go on besides just a few pieces of dialog in the library and the few people you talk to. Add NPCs who talk when you are near them or something like that.

4) Add women if at all possible. Maybe I missed this but the game had a Gothic going on where everyone in the game is a man. Not a huge issue since you probably wanted to reuse assets as much as possible but just throwing it out there that a little variety goes a long way.

5) Add a map feature please. Levels are very big and it is easy to get lost.

Ok now that the bad is out of the way here are most of the things I liked.

1) The universe. This is a seriously awesome universe you have from art direction to the few conflicts I could piece together to the armor design. A little work and experience will make for a great sequel.

2)Gunplay. I have yet to see an FPS/RPG with these tight of controls and maintain the mix. Borderlands and Dark Messiah for example were too light on RPG elements.

3)Customization. Huge fan of all the options you put in to make characters completely different. Went for a commando type class and it worked out perfectly. As I went through the game I saw options for the other archetypes.

4) Level design. While the levels are a bit maze-like it was very well done in general. Multiple paths and ways to do things reminds me of Deus Ex which is never a bad thing in my book.

5)Difficulty. STALKER was the last FPS that actually offered a challenge that wasn't artificial. Simple things like hacking were made difficult by no pausing while in the screen.

6) Ambition. Any developer going for a huge project like this gets my praise because you don't see enough of it. This is actually the reason I'm posting, usually I keep my thoughts on a title to myself since I'm really picky but the foundation is here for something better then Deus Ex.

Hope that helps the developers and anyone looking for a sort of review.

There are those barely clothed chicks in white dresses who shoot at you. You can see one of them in the screenshots in the Steam store.

Supra is the correct term, it's replaceable with Super-human, but it's still correct terminology and use.

Since you finished the game perhaps you can answer this...

How many different maps or settings are there? Is every mission area different or do you end up repeating/revisiting (not including HQ of course) the same map?

Supra means above. Above human sounds OK but super human has the strongest use and is an obvious choice.

Gotta love random spawns, I never once saw them. Go figure.

You select difficulty on the fly, like in Half-Life 2. Every mission is different and there was no revisiting. When you finish the game it literally loops over to the start so you can play the game again.

It can mean Above, or greater than. It is the same meaning as Super-human, just using a latin prefix; it's not an issue of translation, it's just a choice they made with the naming of things (such as the Deus Ex Machina).

Have to say after a little bit of a shakey start the game ended up being good fun. Three of us picked it up and played through and the addition of coop was excellent for this game.

I was somewhat surprised at the length - With the scope of the research and upgrades and the game being billed as it was I was amazed we wrapped it up in around 7 hours with difficulty set to hardcore. This was despite a fair bit of messing around getting lost and a few side missions.

Overall fun game with lots of ambition but just a shame when it really got going it ended!

Edit: Also the Labyrinth level - forgot the exact name bugged up horribly for us. Never had and mission updates after the beginning and having found all but one portals were left with nothing but spawning enemies and no objectives. Oddly when I then restarted the server it loaded me in inside a big tomb and let me get to the level end. No idea what was meant to happen in the interim.

Hello,
Respawning in this room is a known issue and we are currently looking into it. If you didn't have any mission objectives it may be because you skipped the conversation with Scrab and told him you'll be handling the situation yourself.

Thank you for your support and again we apologize for the inconvenience.

Hello,

Oh, so you're one of the developers? It would be nice if you could talk to one of the moderators to get your name in green. It makes it so it's easier to spot developer posts.

Edit: Great job on the game btw.

Yeah, that'd be nice. It looks like this (http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showpost.php?p=23990022&postcount=2) or this. (http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showpost.php?p=15088406&postcount=6)

You are quite correct in your assessment, but it's still an issue where people do not use the proper vernacular for a region or area it is localized to. You could also say metahuman, but no one does this. They could literally hire a college kid, my girlfriend, any of them to do a better job at translation. No one translates literally to another language, different words are used, the structure is redone, etc. I don't think it was a design choice to be honest with you, same as with the term "malus", instead of penalty. It's syntactically correct, but it's semantically a poor choice.

No one intentionally makes a game harder to understand or "seem" incorrect on purpose. It's clear that the translations are only partially done or partially understood by whomever may have translated it. It's like trying to write a novel, have it be 100% grammatically correct, and make it seem like the characters are real people. It can't be done, because people do not talk the same way language is written.

12ish. There is at least 1 more ending so you could go 20 hours if you wanted to see that I bet.
