Changing Screen Resolution outside of game

Ok this happens way to often with games.

Once again my monitor says input not supported because the game has put me into an automatic resolution higher than my monitor can cope with and as far as I can tell there are no ways to change it outside of game.

I've tried launch options, compatibility in the exe and see no place to change it in the game files

I'm really dissatisfied that I can't play the game at all and that people overlook this so much

I need it to run in 1280 x 720 anyone can help? Devs maybe ?

I could not find a way to change the screen resolution of the game while the game was not running, but I found an alternative to get the same end result. I wrote up a way to change the resolution of the game even when you can't see anything on screen. Please find it here and reply to the thread with your results:

Worked a treat, thank you very much for the reply and the aid. Still it is bloody ridiculous that you have to do all that blind menu fiddling! The devs need to take note of this because it's a common problem!
