I'm trying to create a coop server that my friends and I can play on, but whenever I or either of friends creates a server it doesn't show up on the steam server lists. We tried inviting each other to our servers through steam but those attempting to join just get a "server not responding error".

I'm running Windows 7 x64 Professional

Windows Firewall is turned off

Software firewall: Comodo is set to allow E.Y.E. (I have tried
it with Comodo disabled and the server is still invisible and unjoinable).

Connection type is wired

Router is a D-link DIR-655 with the latest firmware and portforwarding for steam setup.

I've spent all morning trying every possible solution I can think of and I'm at my wits end. Frankly this whole thing has made me a little bitter towards the co-op in E.Y.E. I could join a server that's already up, but frankly, my friends and I really just want to host our own.

If anyone else has had a similar problem or hopefully even a solution I'm open to suggestions.

Thanks :)

I'm having troubles aswell, but there are a few things I've tried that may work for you.

Port forward the following ports found here : http://eye.streumon-studio.com/index.php?page=news&news=21

Make sure you set the option to Internet and not Lan when creating the server.

When ingame type in sv_lan 0 and heartbeat then changelevel (map name your on) to reset the server to apply the commands you typed in.

I've tried those above but my friend still can't join....but if he throws up a server he literally doesn't have to do anything and it works. *Shrug*

I ended up having to check the process and see what ports it was actually listening on. You can do this by grabbing Process Explorer from sysinternals, right clicking the process name, going to properties and clicking the tcp/ip tab. These ports are 58964 to 58966 in case you don't want to go through all that trouble. If forwarding those, too doesn't help, you might also try having your friends pull down the console and entering the password with

password <password>
then
connect <ip>:<port>

Hope this helps!

Im running into the same issue. I have all ports needed forwarded, including the two mentioned by Kaervan, and have tried setting up the server in several ways. (Using the dedicated server hoster, using the in game setup, etc) While using the in game hosting tool, the server appears, but any who attempt to join get a message saying they disconnected after several seconds.

I have also attempted the sv_lan 0 method, followed by a switch of changelevel, which was unsuccessful.

I would like to say that the problem would be that my friend does not have access to his router, and cannot forward ports, but this same issue is recurring across anyone who attempts to join.

I also attempted the method that the Streum website suggested, again, to no avail.
