You might want to check out my recommendation, I'm bringing up most of the things you've asked.

Btw... the installed game is around 370MB, in case someone with bandwidth cap cares.

awesome game ... one of my favorite indie titles.
Well worth it at full price. A steal on sale.

Verizon has been charging people for bandwidth starting recently because they are the devil.
Anyone intelligent and in a good location just leaves Verizon but people in some small areas don't have other options and are stuck with download limits.

:) thanks for that reply in regards to my post...
this isn't my network connection I'm currently not at home so I'm a low bandwidth user for the moment. but I'm from Australia and you would be correct in saying we have ♥♥♥♥ty overpriced internet. i'm on a unlimited broadband connection and even that has a limit (500gb)
thanks everyone else for your replies I think i'll read a bit more into it but it looks promising for 5 bucks

To be quite honest, I really hated this game. MAYBE I was just missing something, but about 2 years ago, it was on sale with an indie pack for $2. I only played it last Christmas because of the treasure hunt and promptly uninstalled it because of how unfun I found it. Normally, I like puzzle games, but this felt like Undergarden with lame Lunar Lander mechanics but without any sense of finesse like what Lunar Lander demanded.
Some complexity came in when you were allowed to modify your thruster layout so that you might have some extra protrusion on your ship to stick through a hole to knock a barrier out of the way. Like I said, I didn't play it long, but my first impressions were really poor. I can usually pick up on when a game is going to be good or awesome, because there is some hint of what is to come. With Bob, I felt like I had played the whole game in 10 minutes and everything ahead of me was just tedium.
In conclusion, no, I do not think the game is worth it. I felt ripped off at the $2 price point I spent, so I can not recommend this one. I've written about 90+ brief reviews for my friends, and this was one of the only ones I said to pass on regardless of price.

I thought Verizon was trying to dump their internet service? Everyone I know with Verizon has been forced to take Frontier.
Oh, and you might want to note that you can get the game for $9.99 from the developer's site. Kinda pissed I paid $20 to get it through Steam.
