Need a little help with the first box...

...in order to cross the pond. It's the scene after that giant rock comes rolling down. I'm probably being stupid beyond description but how do I cross the water with it?
Loving the game btw, looks absolutely beautiful and it is highly enjoyable.

A hint: you don't cross the water on the box. See if you can do something else with it.
