Worried about RO2 Purchase

Alright, so I just pre-ordered RO2 and I got to the page were it says to install the game. So I clicked install but nothing happens. I check my email, and I have the receipt. Check my bank account, and money's been withdrawn. Check Killing Floor and I have both the characters. I thought the game would be added to library? So do I have the game pre-ordered, I've never done this before.

You can't install something that's not there. It's a "pre-purchase" so you have to wait for the pre-load or the game's release.

The game is in your library, but it's not released yet so you can't download it. No worries!

once a game is release you'll be able to install/play.. pay attention a few days before release and you will be able to "pre-load" it.. which means you'll be able to download the game early and it will be ready to play when released.

you can find the game in your game library if you want to make sure it's there.. (will show up with a gray icon).

guess ur new to steam? The game isn't released so u can't install it yet, once its out u can install.

Rupok2: Actually I've been on Steam for a longtime now I've never pre-ordered a game on Steam before, and that's why I was concerned. All the games I have bought are older, like CS:S and newer ones like Amnesia, that were already released.

To add to what others said, it should be in your library too, just greyed out under All Games. There's no icon for it similar to other pre-orders.

Indeed.... Aug 31st is when it's supposed to be released..... you can download & install it then. By Pre-Ordering, you get a discount on the price and depending on which version you bought, you get some unlocks at the start.

Not all games have a pre-load option, and some that do may only pre-load a few hours before release up to a week before release.

It depends on how popular the release is expected to be.
