Unresponsive Controls

I'm playing the Limbo demo, and I'm getting really unresponsive controls. It takes somewhere between half a second and a second after I hit a key for it to do something. This makes timing stuff really difficult, and the game is almost unplayable because of it.
Anyone have a solution?

It might be due to a slow graphics card - which hardware do you have?

You may lower your desktop resolution (e.g. to 800x600).
the game looks a bit retro though :)

Another solution might be to set use30hz to true in settings.txt.

What are your computer specs? CPU and GPU.
