I already have Oblivion, but have been wanting to try Morrowind. Is it worth it for 10 bucks? Has it ever been cheaper? And does it work on Win 7-64 bits "out of the box"? Sorry for all the questions, but the summer sale took care of my "Steam budget", so 10 dollars still looks pricey, even for what is supposed to be an awesome game. Thanks in advance.

Yes.

Yes.

Yes. However, some tweaking must be done to use mods. Also, you cannot run the Construction Set (to make mods).

Your Welcome.
I have made mods with the CS on 64-bit Windows 7. My version is not Steam, however, a quick look at the official forums shows a link entitled "TESCS Fix for Steam GotY edition" in one of the sticky threads. So there's hope.
I can't actually remember if the game ran with no tweaking for me. I have it set to run as administrator and in XP compatibility mode, but that may have been to make my heavily modded game keep working. It won't run widescreen out of the box.
This game is worth $10. I would have guessed it'd be more than that. I just checked and a used physical GOTY copy (cheapest other way I know of) is at least that plus shipping. It's got at least as many hours of content as Oblivion.

I think I will get it, there is really no other game in the sale I want. Morrowind has been on my wishlist for a while, so I guess it's as good a time as any. Thanks for the answers. :)

It's an excellent game, but if you thought Oblivion was too time consuming and confusing, then you won't like it.
