I am really miffed at bethesda right now.
when i saw the update saying that you could pre-order skyrim i was very happy,i clicked on the store page and there was no pre-order button, so i thought "ok... maby it's just a glitch in STEAM" so i re-started STEAM, went back to the store page and the button was still not there.

I did hear that it was availaible in the US, so i asked one of my friends to check, and it was true... apparently it's all to do with this so called "deal" with shop retailers crying to the developers and making threats that if they were going to digitally distribute this product over STEAM and any other platform, they would not stock it in thier stores (GAME, GameStop etc.)

also i was wondering, can someone from the US gift a copy of the Skyrim Pre order to someone in the UK or any other country that cant pre order this game over steam? or will that cause problems?

I just wish valve would make a statement as to why us UK customers are having to put up with this cr4p. I've been waiting for this game for ages; being a hardcore Bethesda fan; but yet again we are unable to buy and the rumours start flying around about (obsolete) video game shops blocking the online distribution in the UK.

I dont understand why Valve wont let us know WTF is going on, surely it can't be 'for legal reasons' if it is a truthful statement.

I've tweeted @steam_support about this issue again but im sure they will ignore me as usual.
