Sadly, the case whether to buy this or not has now been obvious. I'm all for having a centralized place with all my games and I don't intend to pick up Battlefield 3 if I can't get it on Steam.
Also, what is this doing here on the Crysis forum?

LOL, who cares? I don't need a crutch like steam to buy or play a game. It would have been handy but Origen or what ever is basically the same. At least you don't have to have it running in the back ground to play.

First of all, wrong forum.
Secondly, the post had nothing to do with a contract violation. Steam apparently changed its policies regarding patches and DLCs, which conflict with the way EA wants to distribute its patches and DLCs. This is a simple conflict of interest. Until it is resolves, BF3 (and other games) will not be sold on steam. EA hopes they can come to an agreement and get their games on steam.... but only time will tell.
Why must people keep making threads about this...
