Greetings, Silent Hill enthusiasts. A player by the name of JFCalibur88 has finally finished his Silent Hill: Homecoming speed run and has uploaded it for all of you to enjoy on youtube. As far as we know, as of this posting August 8 2011, this is the first complete Silent Hiill: Homecoming speed run that has been posted anywhere on the interweb. I couldn't find a complete one on youtube before this was posted, and all of the old usual places for speed runs like speeddemosarchive.com, SpeedRuns.net, and tasvideos.org don't have one either. A world's first perhaps?

The author of this video, JFcalibur88, had some comments he wanted to share with you guys about his video:

"The game Silent Hill Homecoming does not measure time so an overall ending time is not listed upon completion of the game. The listed time at the end of Part 6 is an approximation when cut scene time is removed. This is the not the best possible time because I wanted this to be an entertaining and story driven run. For that reason, I purposely went to the Judge's Building to do that conversation when I could have skipped it and ran straight home.

I did not know that you could NOT stock pile ammo for the last chapter in the game. I went out of way way to build up plenty of ammo for the last boss...only to find that I could only use the ammo found in the last chapter. I also went through the run using no health packs or med kits...which I didn't think I could do without. I was making sure to pick up the photos and child drawings but soon quit that "side quest" during part 2 of the 6 part run. I only used the serums since they seemed to be more beneficial that the other items. Shooting in this game was much harder to me so there are times when ammo was wasted. If I chose to kill an enemy it was because that enemy would be in the way later on (like during an extensive puzzle) or because I doubted that I could get past the enemy. Often I would kill an enemy with melee since I was trying to save the bullets for boss battles and such.

The cutscenes were removed and added in later. You will also noticed some dissolves in the story to join different "rooms" together. The goal was to make an entertaining and fairly decent speed run video. Special thanks to nukesgoboom for hosting this video since my page only allows 10 minute uploads.
