While I'm definitly getting the PC version of Skyrim as well,
I think they learned of they're mistakes in the past where they have shown Oblivion at E3 on the PC and ended up having to dump the graphics down (as well as the radiant AI :mad:)to up the performance of the game.

Also it's much easier to set up a console for an event, since holding a controller in your hands is much more comfortable then dealing with a keybord and mouse.

well, it's just ok to me. since I haven't been interested in RPG game. I won't buy this. whatever it shows level of detail, it doesn't matter to me. I watched that video clip. but why did people yell like hell? I am more stick with Deux Ex Human Revolution anyway.

it is but its the full thing. uncut, a good 30mins long and updated ie the giant that gets picked up in the G4 E3 preview falls alot smoother in the Quakecon footage.

I can understand that all the screaming would be weird for someone that isn't into rpg's, but for the most rpg gamers I believe the elder scrolls series is this holy grail where they can truly be what the want in a world created by fantasy. So they get kinda excited when they see townsfolk they can talk to, or completely destroy.

The 55,819(and growing daily) people currently playing the PC version on Steam don't take care of that "review" for you? Honestly the game is ♥♥♥♥ing awesome, stop delaying.

I wasn't impressed with the footage. It looks like more of the same with prettier graphics. Also, the interface doesn't seem as though it will be any better on PC than Oblivion's was (a huge disappointment if that's the case). Basically as a PC gamer, everything that I didn't like about Oblivion looks alive and well in Skyrim. A good story can still save it for me, though.

They know what their target audience wants, don't they? Not trying to talk down to any Oblivion fans here, but those people at Quakcon were reduced to hooting, hollering, slack-jawed morons just with a bit of shiny graphics and killing some random wolves. Takes more than that to impress me with a game, I don't know about you guys.

Obviously I wasn't an Oblivion fan, and it doesn't look like TeS will be redeemed IMHO.

Deus Ex Human Revolution is a real awesome game, it has a very deep story with many twists and turns and the freedom it gives you to find alternative paths (there's always more than one option).

But back to Skyrim, it looks really impressive. It gives a real feel of immersion. Can't wait till 11-11-11 ^_^
