View Full Version : Soundtrack Edition makes you DL 3 copies of the soundtrack at over 1GB!!

The download for the Soundtrack Edition is ridiculously huge!! 1.3GB?! The game is only 220MB! Why is it downloading the soundtrack in MP3, FLAC, and WAV? I mean, there's a reason people invented FLAC—because WAV is huge! And now I'm downloading one on top of the other (on top of MP3). You really need to put this back as a separate download or find some other way to do it, because I don't want to re-download 3 copies of the soundtrack every time I install the game!

Edit: I would suggest moving the soundtrack back to the Tools section and possibly having 3 entries—one each for mp3, flac, and wav. Then people could just choose the one version they want and download it.

some people like lossless audio, I think its commendable that they offer it.
the soundtrack is purchasable on its own.

Agreed. I'm running a bit tight on hard drive space right now and this fact actually means I'll probably uninstall it right away without even trying it out. Please move it back to the tools tab :(

Well I think it's awesome that they included 3 types of soundtracks in a single purchase. But this is a case of trying to hard to be nice.

I luckily have about 12 TB in my PC so I don't really care, but not everyone is a PC nut. A simple split in the Media section of the library could easily fix this as stated earlier.

And of course you're also downloading the soundtrack with the game itself. This is odd.

I mostly listen to Rock&Metal, but this great. Very minimalistic and quiet flow of sounds. Dl the demo or listen it over youtube.
