View Full Version : Guest pass not working...

My friend sent me a guest pass, only the popup box is completely blank, i've got the title bar, *blank*, "ignore this guest pass", "ask me later".
Even doing it via email doesn't work because they make it validate through the same stupid box in steam...
I've tried it on multiple computers, have yet to try redeeming on a different steam account.

Steam support is propably a better help than this forum

I know, I'm going to contact them as well but I was asking here to see if anyone else had the same problem and had found a solution.

have you heard anything from support ? i sent a guest pass to a friend and he has the exact same problem :(

I've been using the knowledge base first, but nothing from this page has worked. Looks like some of the RO passes are broken.
About to try reinstalling and the registry fix.

Just sent a pass to a buddy today he can't use his either. Any update on this?
He is opening a support ticket. I'll post back anything I hear.

It might have something to do with prepurchache RO2 bonus discount? If you own RO1 you get 20% off, but maybe there is no way they can distinguish between guest pass and owned game and therefore disabled it for the time? Just a wild guess..

Guest passes should work now.
