Surely Tabasco is just for tasting to see if you can handle it, then putting back on the shelf until next time you wonder.

I've been really into Frank's Red Hot recently. Been putting it on most things I eat. I like the flavor better than Tabasco.

I cover pretty much every meal I eat in hot sauce of some kind or another.
I just finished a sub with hot peppers, jalapeno peppers and frank's red hot.

Ghost pepper is for people who want die painfully lol. I also like tabasco especially smoke flavour. Take two white breads and put half of sausage on each bread and put lot of smoke tabasco on it and to the top a lot of cheese. Its excellent.
One time i ate meatballs and put too much of habanero sauce on them and i think i started to hear crackling of the fireplace in my mouth...

Pretty good on pizza.
Did you see that guy on Discovery Channel where he had his house cluttered with unopened Tabasco bottles claiming they were his "treasures" He's finally out of rehabilitation, and is down to taking half a teaspoon of Tabasco Green Pepper a day.

I regularly eat Sriracha (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sriracha_sauce), which is much hotter... but Tabasco on eggs is delicious.

It's mathematical proven that every dish becomes better when adding tabasco.

No way (source: http://www.scottrobertsweb.com/scoville-scale.php#)
I like Tabasco on Pizza quite a bit, but I reach for the Sriracha for the flavor if it's available.
At home the GF likes to make her own chili sauce and we typically use thai chili's for that.

We used to fight over tabasco in basic training. Sometimes they have a little bottle of Tabasco in MRE's (Meals Ready to Eat). Personally, I think it's pretty poor hot sauce when compared to... any other hot sauce.

We rarely got Tabasco on our ship, instead we got some rip off called 'Texas Pete'
Which inevitably lead to the phrase 'If you can't eat it, Texas Pete it' which I still enjoy saying as a catch all for putting hot sauce on bland food. :D

I don't find Tabasco to be particularly hot, but I don't find it particularly tasty either. It's ok on eggs, but otherwise I don't usually bother.

Tabasco + Roman Noodles = Pure yum
Tabasco, Sriracha, Tapatio and La Victoria Picante Hot Sauce (yeah, i know, but its good). Franks is good, it just has a really strong vinegar taste to me, so like it with noodles or chicken. Sriracha is my go-to for asian foods, and tabasco and picante sauce for mexican food. Mmmmmmmmmmmm..HOT SAUCE!

Notes From An Inexperienced Chili Taster Named Frank:
"Recently I was honored to be selected, as an "Outstanding Famous Celebrity in Texas", to be a judge at a chilli cook-off, because no one else wanted to do it. Also the original person called in sick at the last moment, and I happened to be standing there at the judge's table asking directions to the beer wagon when the call came. I was assured by the other two judges (Native Texans) that the chilli wouldn't be all that spicy, and besides they told me I could have free beer during the tasting, so I accepted.
Here are the scorecards from the event:
Chili # 1: Mike's Maniac Mobster Chili
JUDGE ONE: A little too heavy on tomato. Amusing kick.
JUDGE TWO: Nice, smooth tomato flavor. Very mild.
FRANK: Holy smokes, what the HELL is this stuff? You could remove dried paint from your driveway with it. Took two beers to put the flames out. Hope that's the worst one. These hicks are crazy.
Chili # 2: Arthur's Afterburner Chili
JUDGE ONE: Smoky (barbecue?) with a hint of pork. Slight Jalapeno tang.
JUDGE TWO: Exciting BBQ flavor, needs more peppers to be taken seriously.
FRANK: ♥♥♥♥! Keep this away from the children! I'm not sure what I'm supposed to taste besides pain. I had to wave off two people who wanted to give me the Heimlich maneuver. Shoved my way to the front of the beer line.
Chili # 3: Fred's Famous Burn Down the Barn Chili
JUDGE ONE: Excellent firehouse chili! Great kick. Needs more beans.
JUDGE TWO: A beanless chili, a bit salty, good use of red peppers.
FRANK: This has got to be a joke. Call the EPA, I've located a uranium spill. My nose feels like I have been snorting Drano. Everyone knows the routine by now and got out of my way so I could make it to the beer wagon. Barmaid pounded me on the back so hard to help get my breath that my backbone is now in the front part of my chest.
Chili # 4: Bubba's Black Magic
JUDGE ONE: Black bean chili with almost no spice. Disappointing.
JUDGE TWO: Hint of lime in the black beans. Good side dish for fish or other mild foods, not much of a chili.
FRANK: I felt something scraping across my tongue, but was unable to taste it. Sally, the barmaid, was standing behind me with fresh refills to save me the run.
Chili # 5: Linda's Legal Lip Remover
JUDGE ONE: Meaty, strong chili. Cayenne peppers freshly ground, adding considerable kick. Very impressive.
JUDGE TWO: Chili using shredded beef; could use more tomato. Must admit the cayenne peppers make a strong statement.
FRANK: My ears are ringing, I can't focus my eyes and my legs have gone completely limp. I farted and four people behind me needed paramedics. The contestant seemed hurt when I told her that her chili had given me brain damage. Sally saved my tongue by pouring beer directly on it.
Chili # 6: Vera's Very Vegetarian Variety
JUDGE ONE: Thin yet bold vegetarian variety chili. Good balance of spice and peppers.
JUDGE TWO: The best yet. Aggressive use of peppers, onions, and garlic. Superb.
FRANK: My intestines are now a straight pipe filled with gaseous flames. No one seems inclined to stand behind me except Sally. Sort of irritates me that one of the other judges asked me to stop screaming.
Chili # 7: Susan's Screaming Sensation Chili
JUDGE ONE: A mediocre chili with too much reliance on canned peppers.
JUDGE TWO: Very Ho Hum, tastes as if the chef threw in canned chili peppers at the last moment. I should note that I am worried about Judge Number 3. He appears to be in a bit of distress.
FRANK: You could put a grenade in my mouth and pull the pin and I wouldn't feel it. I've lost the sight in one eye and the world sounds like it is made of rushing water. I can't feel my legs at all now. My clothes are covered with chili which slid unnoticed out of my mouth at some point. Thank God! At autopsy they'll know what killed me. Have decided to stop breathing, too painful, not getting any oxygen anyway.
Chili # 8: Helen's Mount Saint Chili
JUDGE ONE: A perfect ending, this is a nice blend chili, safe for all, not too bold but spicy enough to declare its existence.
JUDGE TWO: This final entry is a good, balanced chili, neither mild nor hot. Sorry to see that most of it was lost when Judge Number 3 fell and pulled the chili pot on top of himself.

Never tried it, don't get it here (well, we probably have generic chilli sauce, but not the tabasco stuff)
If I want some chilli, I put bits of dried chilli pepper in what I'm cooking.

I put that ♥♥♥♥ on everything 8D
Oh god those commercials
I have some of that in the fridge
and tabasco in the cupboard.
I'm not a fan of the tabasco, cause I don't like the smokey chipotle flavor, but I do like the original frank's red hot. Omg I literally put that ♥♥♥♥ on everything.
On another slightly altered note, I have no idea where whichever parent bought it, but at one point we had this stuff called Da Bomb. It had the warfare warning symbol things on it and everything. I was 7 years old and I could 'handle any hot sauce out there' so my dad dipped the tip of a toothpick into the cap of the sauce and told me not to taste it, just to smell it. I licked the toothpick clean and was crying for hours. Not crying crying, but mouth is on fire, eyes are tearing and nose is running nonstop and no matter how much milk [I had drank almost a gallon by this point] and yogurt and sour cream I had, it would NOT go away.
I tried this stuff at the Renaissance fair a few years ago and it was hot but didn't come close to Da Bomb.
God I love hot sauce.

Amazing, news to me. Thanks.
I had no idea, Sriracha has always tasted "hotter" to me. Then again, they're also really close. 2200 vs 2500. Almost not an unnoticeable amount (unless your palate is professional).
All that aside, I prefer even hotter, with habanero based sauces and pastes.

I think tabasco is pretty gross. it's so vinegary, same reason I can't stand normal hot wings. the green sauce (http://files.coloribus.com/files/adsarchive/part_479/4793005/file/tabasco-green-jalapeno-sauce-thermal-small-34607.jpg) is moderately tolerable.

I've never liked milk and so rarely eaten cereal for breakfast but as a child I remember feeling a bit left out and searched for an alternative to milk for some cornflakes.
Given the thread, I clearly settled for some tobasco sauce.
Quite a lot too.
Being about 12 though, I obviously ate the entire bowl and claimed it was really nice and not burning my mouth at all while everyone watched me.
