VRAM requirement?

Hi! The system requirements for this game states at least 512MB VRAM is required to run it. I'm currently stuck with a measly ATI Radeon HD 4670 with 256MB VRAM.

The thing is, I downloaded the demo just to try it out, and it runs absolutely flawlessly on my system. No errors or slowdowns what so ever.

My question is, should I go ahead and buy this game or is it likely to crash and burn later on in the parts not covered in the demo?

I don't get the high VRAM requirements either. Runs flawlessly on my Radeon HD4200 which is set to 256MB. Never had a performance problem with the game.

Hey, our min spec also serves as a recommended spec. While we can't guarantee performance on a 256MB card, it's certainly possible (as you've seen) that the game will run perfectly on one, and the free demo is a good way to test.

The demo should be representative of performance throughout the game so if it looks good to you now, that performance is unlikely to change at later points.

Would it calm you that I can play the full game on a 128MB ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT card (iMac 20-inch 2008)?

A bit of (expected) slowdown but doesn't hurt my fun of playing the game. :)

Ok, very good to know that the DEMO works as a reliable measuring stick. I'll be purchasing this right away.
