View Full Version : The yearly CoD cost

The game: €60/$60
DLC: 4x€15/$15 = €60/$60 (BO had 4 DLC's for €15/$15 each)
CoD Elite: €5/$5 a month = €60/$60 per year

Total:
€180/$180 a year, as every year they release another one.

So if you want to enjoy the full CoD experience, you have to pay €180/$180 a year. For that price, I can buy like 20 topgames during the Steam sales.

Are they serious about this?

All I have to say is I stopped at MW2....no more...they ♥♥♥♥ing bleed people for money for some ♥♥♥♥ map packs and what not and they'll do the damn same with MW3...if you want an FPS get RO2 or something (BF3 maybe?)

I never bought any MW2 maps but I did all the BO packs. Now they want an extra $5 a month? No thanks. No MW3 for me. MW2 was the beginning of the end for COD and this is just part of it's continued downward path to nothingness.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't all map packs free for Elite subscribers and remain so, so long as they remain subscribed?

Also, I'd hardly consider not subscribing to Elite as "Not getting the full experience."

The price isn't going to go over $120 and that's only if you decide to purchase anything at all. I don't buy DLC for ANY game unless it's cosmetic and super cheap.

yes you do get the DLCs free with the premium membership.

it's not needed but if you're into scims/wars and such like you might find yourselves coming up short without it.

I guess you pay monthly for map packs that are released every 6 months?

First of all the DLCs are free if someone is a COD Elite premium member.

Second, COD Elite system is optional, but for extra options that leads to clan tournaments you have to pay.

So stop milking your thread to make you look good. At least read about the game before you whine.

Elite sounds like a phone contract. Here, sign up for two years and get this cool looking phone. Then, you end up replacing that phone with about ten others throughout those 2 years saying to yourself,"I wish I falcon punched that guy from Sprint and left the store instead of signing up for this bull♥♥♥♥."

I have nothing against Sprint, but god damn it. Activision has done nothing to deserve monthly fees from us.

I'm sorry, but you think these are a GOOD thing?! As mentioned above, pay monthly for 6 monthly map releases and the occasional tourney?

Good grief...

Wow you don't even know what optional means do you? Never mind, what ever you say is right

fixed.

on a serious note: if the $5/month came with a guaranteed variety of low-ping, populated, cheat-free servers, minus the dushy powertripping admins that private servers tend to have, we might be on to something....
