There is no competition. Battlefield 3 will make you pay extra REAL money for the better weapons in the game. Basically if you don't pay after you pay then you will lose.

you are reading alot of BF3 and RO2 because their companies are in every way better than Activision is.

Nobody should be supporting acti for what they are doing! (60€ for a game, paid mappacks for 15€ which is rediculous, no SDK so no mods will ever be released, also no community made maps/content.) They also killed the creative part of IW by firing and sueing their founders etc. (ever wondered why Sledgehammer has to support IW with developing MW3?... because IW is on lifesupport! All important members have been gone long already along with the founders of IW...)

The list goes on and you ask why people want you not to buy MW3?

Also did you see the description of the game? Not ONE single feature is named/listed!
They just wanted to get the preorder out as fast as possible to steal sales from BF3 and RO2 which actually will be good since they have been in production for years now, while MW3 is a 1years copy+paste job

Uhh... Maybe. Looking at some of the reviews and gamer expectations for RO2 and BF3, one of them, (most likely BF3, I'm even looking forward to it), might just outsell mw3. A lot of gamers are getting fed up with too many bugs and hackers in COD games, along with how there are new COD games every year, with pretty much the same engines.

I don't see how DICE/EA has become the halo of PC gaming so quickly. Last I recall, they took our dollars from BF2 and 2142 and made a console exclusive spin-off, only deciding to throw us a bone at the last minute with BC2. And while it was somewhat enjoyable, I was ultimate disappointed.

Bugs?... Broken Gameplay mechanics? Ridiculously over powered perks? Hip Fire Rambo Spray n Pray? Overpriced DLCS?... No Mod Tools?... Console Porting?

I am sure BF will be able to be a little less in that then MW3... but to bring RO2 into the mix..

It will be superior in every way that counts.

Oh lmao... so you judge your games based on what products marketing reps slather onto the most amount of people...

As for gaming fun... well that certainly is subjective.

Although I think you will find the skill level of those games to be severely dumbed down... Especially compared to RO2-

RO2 is the PC FPS game -period.

If you can't hang with that level of gameplay.. you probably will stick to COD & BF.

We're not afraid of comparison, we're annoyed at the bashing and name-calling we've been getting for over three years now (you know, the stuff like "COD fans are mentally challenged, stupid, children, immature, kids, dumb, re-tar-ded, etc.)

It gets annoying after a while, you know. It's ironic, even, considering how immature it is to bash someone because his or her opinion differs from yours.

Hell, there's even people telling COD fans what they should and should not do, that they're protecting us from ourselves.

If this kind of conversation ensues, I'm afraid this thread will turn out to be a warzone for BF fans and COD fans. COD has great games, great, but not the greatest, and BF also has good games, also not the greatest. No game is "the perfect game", no matter how much you love it or the series. Other people will dislike the game(s) or series, and other people will have different opinions. There's nothing wrong with liking two different games/series, so just get over it, we're not 3-year-olds.

Ok yes you are right with that EA is not the halo of PC gaming, but they are better than they were years ago.
At least they stopped buying and immediately killing off developers, which seemingly Activision has now taken EA's spot for screwing over developers!

Yes BF3 should have been out years ago tbh, but it will not be some half-assed money grab like MW3 or BO etc. They actually took their time to make this and are treating the series with respect. Activision chewed IW and then spit it out just to milk the COD series even more while the devs wanted to do something new now.
Activision didn't want them to begin a new project although they promised IW they could create a new IP after MW2. They instead chose to sue the founders of IW and then proclaimed the next COD...

Yes EA issn't a great publisher, and tbh I might even refrain from getting BF3 at all since I do not like getting Origin forced on me. I really hated EA for a long time, but they kinda got better now and even apologised for destroying Westwood and Bullfrog, so at least that is nice.

But I preordered Red Orchestra 2 for sure ;)
I like supporting developers/publisher that actually deserve it because they take their time to develop their game and because of good support and communicating with the community alot as well as free dlc...
