Who developed MW3?

In my opinion the games went like this...

MW1 - great game 9/10
World at War - average 5/10
MW2 - great game 8/10
Black Ops - pretty good 6/10

Were MW1 and MW2 both Infinity Ward? How much involvment have they had with MW3?

They were both IW. But get this...IW imploded about a year and a half ago shortly after West and Zamepella were fired by Activision. Around 30 people left the company most of whom were senior developers and leads. This time around IW and Sledgehammer are
doing the single player, and Raven Studios is doing the multiplayer.

I remember looking at Slegehammer's website a few months ago and it listed the games they had made previously. But someone at Activision must have thought it was bad marketing to list them because the only game on their website now is MW3.

Actually, it looks like Raven is making the multiplayer. IW and Sledge are doing the singleplayer. I have doubts this game will be anywhere near as good as the previous titles.

So are we saying that IW are essentially an unknown developr now as they have had so many staff changes since MW2? If the same Infinity Wrad that developed MW1 and MW2 developed MW3 I would consider pre-ordering (if there was any incentive - which there isn't!).

That's clear - and worrying. Raven are not all that good. I've never heard of Sledgehammer and IW have undergone huge changes. It's a massive gamble to pre-order now.
