Windows 7 and CoD2?

Will Windows 7 64 bit version be able to play Call of Duty 2 steam version?

Edit: I have an old copy of CoD2 (retail) but I dont have my CD key any longer. can I retrieve my CD key from the disc or do I have to buy another copy from steam?

According to this it only works in W7 64-bit (as opposed to 32-bit or both).

That list is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ arkaham. asylum and shodowgrounds work fine in windows 7 x64. Cod2 works find in windows 7.

Yeah, lot of inaccuracies on that list I can see. Yet the post has been updated recently. Go figure.

Anyways, I've got a lot of hours in CoD2 under Windows 7.

CD key lost, CD key no more. All Call of Duty 2 installation discs are the same. You can't retrieve a CD key from it.
