i pre purchased from dust and it keeps saying from_dust exe has encounted a problem and has stop working. I have sent a bunch of microsoft error reports. please help?

I have the same problem. What are your specs? My graphics card is 1 gen too old but I have been told thats not the source of the problem

other thread lots of peeps say it's a bad patcher.

delete cache folder for from dust so when you redo it doesn't use the bad files and exe

the reverify thru steam to get the unlatched exe and try again.

I got this problem as well and I re-installed 7 times as well as a bunch of stuff that that the ubisoft support told me to do and none of it did a thing :mad:

if you have other current ubi titles installed they probably use the same patcher and drm try deleting their cache files first.

never under estimate the power of a lazy programmer, the patcher may be reading a default cache file for the wrong game. <laughter>

my specs are fine and i did what u said it didn`t work. OH i found the file called from_dust exe, it is about 5.7 mbs big. what should i do with it?
