Help! Won't let me connect to my friend.

My friend and I have been trying to connect to one another for the past 20 minutes, but we haven't had any luck. The connection attempts go all the way up to 100 until we give up. Any idea as to why we can't connect to each other and how it can be fixed? D:

Not really sure. I do see people online, but no one is posting. Just got this today. The game seems great. My friend is getting it too. We have hamachi so maybe we will have better luck, although it looks automatic. Check yer firewall. We will figure this out yet!

*UPDATE*
I am looking at the /steamapps/ folder and I see a file called preferences. If I can't connect to my friend when he gets on tonight using the default access, we will see if the preferences need to be set differently to make a direct connection.

That's the one issue we had.. It doesn't seem like there is anyway way to punch in the IP that Hamachi provides and since that's really the only way my friend and I can connect to each other when we play Steam games (seeing as how he lives in the UK and I reside in the US), I'm sitting here thinking we bought this game for nothing. :l

there is a filed called preferences.
Try changing the info (punch in yer hosts ip)

ServerAddress = ???.?.?.?
BypassNetwork = 0
ServerPort = ????

to something else

Tell me if that works!
(PLEASE make a copy of yer original file because I am not gonna take the fall for gamebreakerzzz :P )

Well I was looking at the games that were Mulitplayer. I was actually able to connect to one. No attempts at all, it was straight Handshaking the connection. But others make so many attempts. It may have to do with portforwarding your stuff. Ill keep working on some way for people like me (not genius) to get this sweet game up and running. It is so much fun! Even losing is fun.

I was having the same issue with my friend for about 3 minutes and we decided to port forward straight off the bat and that fixed any issues as far as connecting online with each other.

If you havent found it yet, the ports you wanna forward are 4000 to 4001.

The game is very fun and addicting once you get to play it. Very easy and fast to learn. You'll have a blast doing coop with friends.
