Nothing known about campaign, but it has multiplayer.
So technically, unlimited Gametime.

I don't think Mp in this game is going to last long espically with no confirmed dedicated servers and mod tools.

I've heard Relic say that the game the single player campaign will last 10-12 hours.
I doubt Dead Island will be 30 hours. Too long for mainstream gamer.

im sure it'll have atleast 30,i mean afterall,it is openworld/sandbox from the looks of it,and can go at your own pace. may be able to squeeze 30 out of it,without skipping everything. but thats whats been mentioned several times, but who knows. Space Marine looks linear,as any other TPS/FPS,so 10-12 sounds about right, but of course, theres the people who just bullrush it,and complain its only 4 hours cuz they skipped everything

I really dont remember the last time a shooter singleplayer campaign lasted so long. It all depends on your definition of finishing i suppose. If you think of finishing a game as having it beat on the hardest difficulty and having all hidden items/audio logs/whatever else you can find then yes, maybe this game will last you 10-12 hours. But if you are the normal kind of gamer who simply plays through the game paying a normal amount of attention to each level (i.e. not rushing through the levels), generally, recent shooters have lasted me about 2-4 hours less than what developers say it will last.
Heck, Crysis 2 was the longest shooter ive played all this year and that barely lasted me 8-9 hours, and while i do consider myself to be a fairly good player i dont rush through the levels or anything. I personally find it unrealistic to expect so much time out of the space marine campaign. Though, lets hope im wrong about that.

well put,but the only reason i can see Dead Island having 30 hours,is because of the RPG elements, your gonna spend time doing all the missions, crafting ♥♥♥♥,running/driving around. but on Space Marine, its just a simple go from point A,to point B,to point C killing EVERYTHING in your path. really cuts down on gametime when your pushing towards your main, and only objective. its still gonna be epic anyways. i'll end up getting both games regardless.
