This game is completely unplayable.

Hi. I just bought and installed Reda Faction Armageddon. Could somebody tell me why is ist completely impossible to play this game? My computer fits the minimum requirements of the game, and yet, even on the lowest setting, it freezes when anything happens on screen. If i just walk around in a place where nothing is happening, I get around 40 fps, but as soon as i hit a building with my mallet or plasma hun, the game completely freezes.

Try running it in DX9 mode and ofcourse make sure your drivers are up to date. People have been reporting alot random crashing in DX10/11 mode for some reason, then again some people report mabye 1 crash every 10hrs or so of gameplay in DX10/11 mode. Either way, there is definitly a problem with random crashing.

i shared my specs in another forums and found a solution
did you still want a 2 page dxdiag?

I always keep Windows up to date, it's only crashed once in my 12hours of use and that was right after I installed it, just rebooted and been problem free ever since.

Were you being sarcastic because I reccomended updates? Many people are inexperienced with computers and don't keep things up to date. Plus, with only knowing the game is crashing, there isn't really any other advise you can give.

But keeping video drivers up to date and audio are not the issue in this case (if you know that i know how to even use the event viewer and read the code it should be kinda known I know a bit about machines)

but yes I agree 100% most users do need to update but some drivers cause issues not help them
I still dont recommend sp3 to xp users for a few reasons I wont get into and thats an update is it not?

anyway its not an UPDATE thats needed.. its a C++ dist that seemed to cause the fault... this means the one with the game is not working, or is but is not used somehow until windows erases the old and inserts a new

most users have over TEN C++ installed running if they have 64 bit win7

anyway tsk tsk to thq and hazza to another user in the forums who recommend the windows update. but again it was an optional download not essential and would not even be seen in auto updates

Cool Cool, wasn't trying to be rude or anything, i've just gotten alot of flak in the past for reccomending somthing so obvious. Since you can't hear inflections, its hard to differentiate between sarcasim or a straight answer.

its always a nice start to offer driver updates and such, but to say a C++ win update was needed right out of the box is just odd

The only reason this game is unplayable for me is because it keeps crashing at the beginning when you need to use the explosives to knock down the power towers (or whatever something like that).

Tried a lot of BS advice from random internet postings and nothing seems to fix the problem.
