Then buy it and listen to music while you play. Your not going to miss anything. Or gain an advantage by being able to hear it. This game is way to good to say you wont buy because of voice overs.

I don't like his voice at all, but you only hear it between chapters. And you can skip it or just mute the sound while it's playing.

I think the in game ones are quite high quality, hilarious and fit the context perfectly. I neither hate nor love the narrator, but he could have the worst voice in the world and it still wouldn't really matter to me because you don't listen to him often.

Trust me the narrator (Totalbiscuit) is no-where near the worst voice actor in a video game. The bartender on Bladestorm: The Hundred-years War already holds that title. Besides there's a volume control for a reason.

Sorry, I like TotalBiscuit and all, but the narration is INCREDIBLY BORING and his droning english accent just makes it worse. It's pretty excruciating to sit through 'em, and after I got through 'em and learned the story, I was REALLY glad I could skip 'em.

The guy you got the trucker missions from in GTA:SA was way up there too.
I enjoy TBs voice in this, its like having one of my favorite game commentators right there with me stemming the zombie tide :)

I'll be honest I don't remember that guy at all. But I agree with you that having TB be the narrator, makes me feel a bit more confident.

The Story narrations is not fantastic but it's not bad. It's better than many non-English centric games such as Star Wolves or Sacred for example.

In-game commentator is reasonable. It's the lines that make it awesome.

Well If you talk about the narrator, just listen to the story once then the next time space it out, its only a few minutes in a 30+ hour game (and way more if you like it).

If you are talking about the chatter, it can be lowered in the options.

I personally like TotalBiscuit's voice even if he is too neutral at times (the first paragraph of the game seems forced then he relaxes a bit). Go check Anomaly warzone earth for super fake kill me now English accent, and they talk a lot ;)

Do what i did - hit the mute button and just read.

And the chatter was funny the first 5 times. But i know that eyes MIGHT pop in space... but i'm not really wondering anymore.

And yeah, Anomaly has the worst faked accents in the history of ever.

I love [space] strategy/simulation/RPG games and I do take them seriously; although they're just games, I love them nonetheless. I was looking forward to this title in particular yet I became so disappointed with the cheesy audio clips.

I know we each have our preferences. I also realize that this game made the top 20 best sellers on Steam (congrats for that, truly well done!!) but I just think that this game in particular is not for me as I am quite particular about all factors that contribute to the overall ambiance of a game.

I will look forward, with much interest, to SPAZ-II.

It is without a doubt one of the greatest top down elite-likes, yet its VA was beyond bad. If Space Rangers can get away with that and still be a cult success... SPAZ can have TotalBiscuit.

Oh god I freaking hated that guy. If it weren't for the fact that he pays CJ, (the player of course) I would have spawned him in console to kill or something.
