Breaker's Bow + Trip Mines.

I love being able to time a good stun right as they step on a mine. Of all the weapons that let you power shot, I find the bow to be the most satisfying.

Mine's Dual Pistols and War Machete, with probably the grenade. I don't actually use the ultimate skill that much because of "I might need it later" syndrome. I use the grenades though when I need to damage lots of enemies really quick.

my favorite combo is the scrap musket and the rifle you get later, the "musket" or shotgun has good knock back and the rifle has great damage when maxed out, and grenades for extra damage, works great in the "who knows where" area's.

Musket, Pike and Gel Cannister.

Pike - Calamatic cannon(think that was it's name) - Plus random skill, I rarely use skills.

Calamatic cannon(think that was it's name)

Pretty sure it's Calamity Cannon.

I've been using the scrap musket, army carbine and machete the most. For secret skill it's usually something that does a lot of focused damage in a short time, to help get out of sticky situations and to kill priority targets fast.

My favorite pair is the Fire Bellows and the Dueling Pistols. I forgot what the secret skill I've been using is called, since I don't use it very often, but it's the one where you spin around a spray fire around you.

I used the Hammer and Army Carbine for much of the game (after I got the latter). I found Grenade and Super Shot (or whatever the carbine skill is called) to be the most useful. I liked the damage output of the Hammer, and once you got the hang of the carbine, it was easy to pick off most turrets and flying creatures.

Used the Pike and Mortar through most of my second playthrough with all idol's activated, was quite effective and had a lot of fun with it.
But of course, on the last level, I just had to use my trusty hammer.

I just realized a similar thread was created prior to this one. Moderator if you could merge this one into that, would be great.

My go-to combo was easily the carbine with the musket. The Carbine with armor piercing and quick aiming/reload absolutely destroys single enemies from far away, and the musket with upgraded range, damage, and ranged damage is great for groups and can be used to hit far away enemies while the carbine is reloading.

So far my favorite loadout is Breaker Bow & Scrap Musket with Final Warning. Breaker bow with the upgraded draw times is wonderful for sniping, and musket has your 'aoe' covered.

Brusher's Pike + Fang Repeater (with auto-targeting upgrade/5th upgrade) + Bolt Burst (Bolts that shoots in every direction) = BEAST!

The Brusher's Pike with armor piercing and high critical chance is deadly in any range. The Fang Repeater with extra ammo and faster reload plus auto-targeting is killer without any aiming, so it's perfect for quick shots after rolls. And because there is the auto-target, the Bolt Burst ability not only shoots the bolt in every direction, all the missed bolts will actually curve around and hit any enemy nearby, it's awesome for Who Knows Where.

The Bolt Burst + auto-target actually reminds me of homing missiles from a lot of shmups.

On my first trip through I mainly used the Pike and Musket. A fully upgraded pike rips stuff apart (have at thee, Wallflowers and Lunkheads!) at a nice range. The Musket I more or less used as a point blank AoE, and for a Special Skill I was mainly packing Mirror Shield owing to the amount of idols I was running. :p Otherwise I'd go with Final Warning. Obviously that setup is ♥♥♥♥e against turrets, so I'd break other gear out occasionally.

On my second playthrough though, I realised that I spend a lot of time blocking and countering, so I'm running the Hammer with the Focus Attack/Crit upgrades and the Doomshine spirit, and that's quite fun. Playing around with pairing it off with either a fully upgraded Carbine or the Pike specced for throwing. I also need to investigate how awesome the Calamity Cannon gets when upgraded.

On the downside, I really dislike the Pistols. A lot of people like them, but I found even with armour penetration the damage per bullet was too weak even with their fast fire rate. There's just no time to stand there and unload a clip, I'd much rather use the Carbine or Cannon and rollcancel out of it.

Can't wait to play with more fully upgraded combos and get cracking on some 10 idol WKW runs.

Machette with the mortor if I am going somewhere with slow enemies, Machette and shotgun if I am going somewhere with fast enemies. I favour the summoning skills, usually Squirt Lure or the mortor skill that summons turrets.

My favorite weapon is the hammer, and Stunning Wallop is my favorite skill to use. When you have maxed out the upgrades on the hammer for damage, and you have the spirit for +25% overall damage equipped, that thing is a force of destruction. Kills most enemies in 1-3 hits.

For me, I have to go with the Carbine/Bow + Hammer/Machete + Turret Gel.

If I need to clear out a ton of enemies, I go with the Bow and Hammer due to the insane penetration of a Power Shot and the huge amount of enemies I can take out with a Crit Machete.

If I know a big boss fight or some tough dudes are coming up (or if I'm fighting those blasted birdies :o) I bring out the Carbine for the armor piercing and long range and the Hammer for its Focused power and piercing.

I wish we could get an archive on what Rucks says about the various weapon combinations, some of them are hilarious and awesome, especially the one about a Machete and a Mortar: "If you walk by a Kid with a machete and a mortar... You just keep on walkin'." Supergiant Games, you've all outdone yourselves on the awesome game you've made!

Breaker's Bow and the sneaking skill. You can powershot smaller enemies all day long and then when something bigger appears you drop a decoy, walk away and then critical powershot it in the back.

I like the pike + pike vault, because it's like being an FFT dragoon

Damage over time Breaker's Bow and Scrap Musket for crowd control. I didn't develop a favorite skill, some of the other weapons probably have more unique stuff.

I just realized they didn't put a straight up sword in the game, great to see some weapon variety.
