Honestly I don't recall MW2 or FLops supporting it either.

I'd just stick with MW3 on the Xbox if you want to play with an Xbox 360 Controller.

Black Ops did have support, and I did play against bots with a 360 controller, because it's relaxing to just sit back in my chair rather than bending over my keyboard all the time.

Gotta love the "Game Pad Police(Trolls)" anytime someone wants to know if a game supports the 360 controller.

Its tough to say whether or not MW3 will support it or not, mainly because any CoD game made by Infinity Ward usually doesn't support Xinput, but seeing as how half of the Infinity Ward staff that worked on MW2 now work for Respawn Entertainment which was started up by the two people who originally founded Infinity Ward, the new team at IW might be more inclined to add Xinput this time around. Treyarch added Xinput support to CoD: World at War in a patch after it was released(you just have to type something into the dev console to get it to work), and Black Ops had full support day one.

CoD: WaW Controller Support Dev Console Command:

Launch the game and enable "Console" in the Game Options, then press ~ to open the Console Command Line, and type this command:
"exec default_controller.cfg"

What some of you guys don't realise is that there are quite a few people out there who hook up their PC to their TV these days, so using a 360 controller is the perfect way to get your game on in that situation, and personally, if a game supports it, then I usually use it to play through the single player, and I'll even use it during co-op games. The PC is a great thing since its so versatile, and supports every type of gaming periferal on the market, and I think that should be embraced rather than wasting your time telling people how they should be having fun according to you. Not everyone wants to be sitting at their desk like a hunch back.

Anicday, I just wanted to give you a couple of links to the two best lists which show every game that supports Xinput(360 Controller). You'll want to add both of these to your favorites on your web browser, as sometimes one list will have a game that the other list wont have listed for some reason, but these are the two best resources on the internet, and they're always updated whenever new games come out.

once you get use to mouse control and keyboard, youll never ever think about playing with a controller ever again for an fps or any other game for that matter unless its sports. I still use a controller for Street fighter an dsports games..they having quite made mouse and keyboard work for sports games.

People even were trying to play The Witcher 2 with a controler, thats also crazy. Mouse has so much more precision, and just feels right and you can turn on the fly and STOP on the fly.

However i did find the controller easier than a keyboard and mouse though just not as rewarding.

I use a controller for black ops multiplayer and homefront. Im usually at or near the top of the scoreboard. I wont buy a game unless it has gamepad support honestly. Im comfortable with a controller. I have a G13 gameboard and a R.A.T 7 gaming mouse but never use them. This whole K/M superiority thing needs to die.

If a game has built in support without the need for 3rd party programs i find its not much different then playing on console. Sure i can go play on console but the jaggies kill my eyes. My GTX580 makes them all go away. lol

I feel i would put myself at a disadvantage with K/M. I game on a 55inch LED tv. I have my feet up sitting in my big chair. Im not passing that up for a possible minor improvement in accuracy using K/M. I grew up with a controller. Those thumbsticks are like second nature to me.

Lets be honest. If gamepad users really got hammered online by K/M users all the time then why would anyone even mention controller support. It wouldnt be fun so why bother. The truth is controller veterans dont get hammered online and would prefer a gamepad over our K/M.

The beauty of PC is options. Right now im playing battlefield 3 with my controller and tearing it up. Controller options should be there in all games for those that want it. Especially for multiplatform games.

yeah would like to see pad support and am assist option added in future updates, i mean why wouldnt they add it?? they have nothing to lose from adding it, if you dont want to use it you dont have to just dont bag other people out if they decided to sit back on the sofa and use a pad to play the single player game

somebody explain me why are consoles considered better than PCs? my pc displays the all call of duty grafics better tahn they are displayed in my friends XBOX360. with the same quality applied. so tell me why are consoles better
