I've been playing lofc2 and bs for a while but never played multiplayer because I don't know anybody who also plays in easy flight mode

I'd suggest trying to contact people here as well: http://forums.eagle.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=93
Since Eagle Dynamics products are generally of a more "study" nature rather than "arcade", it might be hard, but worth trying.

I am SERIOUSLY thinking of getting this. Does it have co-op MP, or just pvp type DM rubbish?
If it has co-op, and you are looking for a co-op partner for playing on "game" mode, I will buy it and we can kick some ♥♥♥.

There are no real "modes" of multiplayer per se the way you would select a mode in a shooter. For multiplayer you'll play on a mission made with the included mission editor, and what goes on is fully up to the mission designer. It can be co-op, deathmatch, team-vs-team co-op (where each team tries to meet mission objectives before the other team) or anything in between.

This with flaming cliffs 2 has got to be the best flying war game I ever played.Flaming cliffs 2 adds flyable aircraft such as a10a,f15c,su25,su25t,mig29 and some others with their own unique weapon systems.

And you have no way of knowing the realism settings before you join the game?
Also, after looking at the menu, there is no "multiplayer" option, so how exactly do you get a game going?

You should have two launcher's for blackshark,1 blue and 1 orange. When selecting a server there is usually a description of the server, mission and rules etc. When I host a game the name of the server is called easy flight mode server.Besides mine most servers have the most realistic settings but some do have labels on.

Like bigdog said: there are separate launchers for single and multi player. This is because the single player UI is a separate executable. For multiplayer, launch the game through the multiplayer shortcut.
In DCS:A-10C, the multiplayer interface can also be launched from the SP menu.
