I have no patience in doing the same thing over and over to only get lucky and finally get past a point, not knowing how I did it.
I find it fun to go fast, flying through the air doing loops and making smooth landings.
Trying to make the bike climb over crazy obstacles. Not my idea of fun.
If gamer hell is your sort of thing, then this game is for you. I on the other hand will uninstall it and forget I ever entertained the idea of playing it.

Whatever floats your boat. I've really enjoyed this game, but whenever I try to play flip maps etc. I just get mad. I don't think this game is hell. It just has a steep learning curve.

Elastomania is a great game and Trials 2 is a failed attempt at recreating that greatness.

A little late to reply to this thread, but it's still on the front page and no one has really offered counterpoints to the OP's criticisms, so...
Trials 2 is not trying to be "gamer hell" - it isn't just some game for people that like hard games. If you're just beating your head against obstacles repeatedly until you get lucky, then you're not understanding that there is a measured way to get past every single obstacle in the game which becomes easier as you practice approaching them that way.
This is a time trial game that involves applying technique to your control of the bike to overcome obstacles more and more quickly. The draw is in learning the various techniques and nuances through practice and becoming able to tackle or even fly through progressively harder obstacles without ever crashing and as quickly as possible purely through skill (and, ideally, doing so better than your friends or just other people on the leaderboard in general).
As such, it's less a game for people that like hard games as it is a game for people that get enjoyment out of playing efficiently, getting better at playing efficiently, and being tangibly rewarded for playing efficiently. The difficulty is neither here nor there for those people as long as they can start small and work their way up, which you do in this game. If the main appeal of the game for you is speeding and flipping through the wacky courses, you're not likely to get much out of it besides some giggles at the various funny ways your rider smashes his face into things when you crash (not that that aspect of the game shouldn't be appealing). But to say it's just a game for masochists is misleading.

Well, not exactly - both games are inspired by Excitebike. I would say Trials and Elastomania are simply two different extrapolations of the Excitebike formula.

Its a good thing you bought a game about trial biking then.

Trials was a java based game simulating virtual trial biking (see video above).
