Game freezing after 10 minutes or so with annoying sound freeze???

Interesting.

I'm running a I5-2500k cpu with Radeon 6950, 8 gigs of DDR3 ram.

Computer has been/is completely stable with any other game but i'm finding this game eventually "Freezes" and locks up with the annoying sound squelch noise forcing a hard reboot.

Any ideas??? Windows 7 64bit with all drivers/updates intact...Cant figure this one out for the life of me.

Using onboard sound as well.

hmm was turning off V-sync, lets try leaving it on and see what happens.

Does that cause crashes? never had a problem like that before. Interesting, do explain if you can?

Had that same issue just a day after I played without any issues. Turned out I forgot to enable MSI Afterburner to enable the auto fan adjustment and my 6950 (BIOS modded to a 6970 was overheating with my overclock of 950MHz core and 1.4GHz RAM). Also, if you're not playing with a controller, unplug it prior to starting the game. Enabling the MSI Afterburner app for auto-fan management worked for me.
