I can generally go about twenty-five and seven in a call of duty game, assuming team deathmatch at around 15,000. In a similar scenario with Battlefield, which I capitalize because I respect it, I can have a 1:1 kill death ratio, and have far more fun doing it. Mostly because it doesn't require someone with such twitchy reflexes that you know they've been drinking red bull since they came out of the womb. Battlefield just has deeper gameplay than call of duty, and it shows. Believe me, Battlefield players don't have call of duty because they are bad at it. They hate it because it's the same game. Four damn times.

It is because their parents will only buy them one game, so they make their choice and then feel they must argue on the internet that the one they picked is the best one to justify their (or their parents) decision.

The two games are nothing alike.
..because both games totally don't take place during "modern" times, focusing on modern representations of armed infantry combat, with equally unrealistic implementations of said combat. Ya, they're totally NOTHING alike. When's the last time you had your vision checked?
Why do you hate CoD is it because u suck at it, just cant get kills or just have fun, ur panties too tight?
ya, because the only reason anyone could ever dislike a game is because they suck at it... how old are you again?
if you dont like mw3 then stop posting about u not liking it on the internetz no1 cares if u dont like a game.
yet another person who does not understand the purpose of a forum dedicated to discussing a particular videogame. last time I checked, the forum rules don't prohibit people from dissenting against the game they're discussing. Again.. How old are you? 11?

There are similiarities but the way the games are played is nothing alike.
For example u need a good team to win a game in BF and in CoD u can just go rambo and win.
Most of the players hate campers right??? and thats the reason why they hate the game because theres so many campers, but if u know how to deal with campers u dont get annoyed and u can enjoy the game and if some1 is hacking u dont have to complain about it u can leave and join another game.
The complaining about CoD is getting old so why cant there just be 1 thread for all the complaints?

a typical call of duty game lasts anywhere from 2-5 minutes, a typical battlefield conquest game lasts anywhere from 10-30 minutes.
CoD: Run and gun
BF: All out war
I love both. And both are completely different. But we compare them just because we like to get that satisfaction that the game we are playing is the best.

And most of my BC2 conquest games last for about 1 hour.

People don't dislike CoD because it sucks. People dislike it, because Activision is milking their customers money for something that haven't been improved since MW1 was released.

Lol, someone called hacks in your pic.
In reality both games are fun. And despite what everyone says about the COD games being the same game over and over again, they're not. Each game in the series has tried new things. These things may not have worked but they did try them.

This. I have MW1/MW2/BLOPS as well. And none of them are installed anymore. And I was pretty good at it. But the gameplay is BORING. The community is pretty ♥♥♥♥ty as well with a lot of pubescent idiots shouting the N word every other sentence on voice comms. It's pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. And like you said, this is the SAME game engine as the previous 3. Sorry, I don't pay for stagnation. And I definitely don't want to polish on Kotick's knob and pay him $60 for the privilege of it thank you very much.

Another one of the "same engine, same game" complaints, I've seen OLDER ENGINES! Produce good looking games, Deus Ex Human Revolution is on a 5 year old engine and where are all the complaints about that? Brink, 8 year old engine, no complaints about that. Red Orcestra 2 is on the same engine Deus Ex Human Revolution is on, no complaints. Minecraft is written on an engine which has been around since... well ages, no complaints. So saying same engine = same game is just more childish rubbish and I'm ticked off with that excuse, its 5 years old, its the same excuse, come up with a new one.
Anyway, people compare BF3 to MW3 plainly because they are both in the same style of FPS game, its the slow paced, low recoil high lethality style of FPS genre made famous by said Cod, Only difference is Cod is more about on foot combat and player vs player shooting, BF3 is more about vehicles and team work.
Which is better? I don't care, I would only buy MW3 for its SP and possibly the invasion mode, nothing more, nothing less, the MP never interested me (its boring, generic and can't even get any of the basics of FPS games down)

So what? Those game aren't charging $60 for them either. AAA titles should be giving us something new. MW series isn't giving anything new. The point is that if DICE can do a completely new game engine for BF3, why can't Kotickvision do it for CoD series? Every single BF series release, it was a new engine and improving gameplay as it went along. What has CoD done since CoD 4? Nothing. Not a damn thing. Modern Warfare 1 got it right, then it all went down hill from there and instead of improved gameplay, we get "attack dogs with C4" and more stupid "perks" that made the game even more arcadey than it already was. Seriously, that's pathetic.
PC gaming is about progress. If I wanted same old same old, I would be gaming on scrub consoles.

Ok ill compare CoD to the games it deserves to be compared to, Quake and Unreal Tournament. Both Quake and UT destroy CoD multiplayer

If you don't like a game, just leave it be. The BF3 engine won't be 'completely new' either, it will still be based off of the earlier Frostbite versions. Just let us play our game, and we let you play yours.

I really like both games, for different reasons.
I love Call of Duty for the competitive play. I play gamebattles on PS3 on Black Ops, MW2, and CoD 4. I have probably logged 400-500 hours of competitive play on CoD since the release of CoD 4, while I have probably played 200 hours of public matches at the most since the release of CoD 4. There is a reason for that. Playing public matches of CoD is probably one of the most frustrating experiences you can have with gaming. There is just so much bull♥♥♥♥ in the games that should have never been put in it.
I love Battlefield for the large scale online battles. There are few times in public matches when I get frustrated from stupid bull♥♥♥♥ like second chance or ghost in CoD. The only problem with Battlefield is that the maps are to big to play competitive matches.

The difference is *drum rolls* IT's 2.0 WITH BETTER DESTRUCTION, JETS, 64 PLAYERS, AMAZING SOUNDS, GREAT MAPS. COD's new engine? Never heard of them ever mentioning there engine being upgraded?

AMEN!
Actavision's new engine will only come out when consoles have been up graded.
I want a war game so BF3 suits me. I want big maps and things to drive (like COD use to have). MW1 was great, MW2 a poor console port and FLOP's lost my respect completely for the COD franchise.
As for comparison, well there isn't any is there? MW3 is same O same O or something new.
I didn't spend 1000's on my PC to play a console game :D.

To summarize, both games suck and they're both equally amazing.
Both sets of fans are flooding the opposing camps forums with the ill intent of starting flame-wars. We get it, not everyone enjoys the same thing.

No one cares but you wasted time and energy to tell us that no one cares irony?
And I think people should be warned about how this will be a Xbox 360 port because it is being made for the Xbox 360 community. It will perform better, have a better community, receive better support from the developers, and have a better overall experience.
So don't think of this as bashing on your beloved Call of Duty think of it as advice to play it the way it is meant to be played which is on a Xbox 360 not a PC.
Call of Duty has had its time on the PC and then they decided to abandon the PC community and change things in past games that angered alot of people thus creating alot of negative feelings to the COD franchise. Activision the great publisher that they are also helped destroy the original team that made your great Call of Duty Modern Warfare, and Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2.
