Rage. On-rails shooter

Watched Breaking Bad this Sunday and all I have to say is... Rage is gonna be an on-rail shooter. Probably packaged with a light-gun peripheral, an ugly one at that. Bye-bye open world, hello linear gameplay! Good thing I was actually starting to miss the House of the Dead series, it'll give me something to play while I wait for a new one to come out or something.

Lol it is not an on rails shooter. The ios version was and Jesse was playing something similar for the show, but RAGE will be open world awesomeness.

You can take some comfort in being mistaken. This game is definitely not on rails. There are plenty of videos that show otherwise.

I haven't seen that episode of Breaking Bad yet, but it sounds like they may not have presented the game in an entirely realistic manner.

Breaking Bad is great. Time will tell if Rage is great.

maybe what he means is, even though it is an open world game. each mission you take on is a scripted affair with the usual 1-2 ways of completing it. Kinda like fall out, choose when you do stuff, but once you have done it once there is no need to go back as it will be virtually the same.

I hope im wrong as i have pre ordered. But it looks like fun anyways.

its going to be corridors, but i guess the corridors are bigger. looks great though, i suppose all game need some kinda plot. Look for example at gta 4 that just got dull without story missions to drag you along.

yeah i just watched the breaking bad episode. They have him using a light gun because a mouse and keyboard just dont really cut it in hollywood or albequerke or however it is spelt.

They did, well... not for the PC, but for the iPod/Pad/Phone. I picked it up for a free a few weeks ago, haven't tried it yet...

Does anyone know of any rail shooters that are like the one in Breaking Bad? It would absolutely blow my mind if I could play an arcade style game with one of those guns that kickback in my own home.
